Listen to the forest.

Birding journeys through the forests, rivers, meadows and village landscapes of the Middle Himalayas — guided slowly, quietly and with attention to the living landscape.

Himalayan birding

A different way to explore the mountains.

The Great Himalayan National Park landscape supports an extraordinary diversity of Himalayan birds. With Suresh Himalayan Journeys, birdwatching can become part of a slow journey through Sainj, Tirthan and surrounding landscapes. We walk quietly, read the habitat, stop often and allow time for observation rather than rushing from sighting to sighting. Bring binoculars, a camera, comfortable walking shoes and patience. The best moments are often the ones you do not plan.

Seasonal note: March–June and September–November can offer particularly good opportunities for a variety of Himalayan birds.
